Facebook Reactions and Mentions makes its way to the Messenger’s new update
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Facebook’s Messenger is one of those apps which keeps getting new updates now and then. The company has been adding a bunch of new features to this app lately, and on the same line, the new update also brings in a lot of new features to the table. This is not as big of an update in comparison to the previous ones where we saw the app getting Instagram Stories like feature. However, the new update will definitely make things more interactive in messaging. Now the company has added Message Reactions and mentions to the app now.
Both the features are not really new, but yes, they are new to the Messenger. Message Reaction will equip you with an ability to reply to the individual message with emotion. So essentially, if you don’t feel like replying to a particular message then you can simply react to it with emotion. This will also make the messaging experience a lot more immersive. In order for you to be able to use this, all you have to do is, press and hold any message and then tap to select from an array of different reactions.
You can add Contact Directly on Facebook Messenger without adding as Friends soon
Once you have added a reaction, you will also be able to see the different reactions a particular message has got from the different members of a group, etc. Yes, you can also use the Dislike emotion to show your hatred towards something. This is what we have ben waiting for a long time to hit Facebook. Now talking about Mentions, as the name suggests, it is pretty straight forward. The Facebook Messenger app will now let you tag your friends in conversations.
You can tag your friends by using @mentions, and the person who you have tagged will receive a notification about the same. So next time when you want to point out something at someone from a group, then simply make sure that you have to add the @mentions and to send it. The person will be notified, and you will certainly get a notification back. With that said, it is also worth noting that both the new features will be making its way to the messenger in coming days. If you haven’t got it already, then just be sure to stick around for a while and keep checking for any new updates.
Meanwhile, let us know what do you think about this? Would you be interested in using this feature or you are just happy with the existing features. Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment down below and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info like this.
