Honor 8 Pro with Dual-lens Camera & 6GB RAM Listed Online Ahead of Launch

Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor launched the new flagship smartphone, Honor V9 along with the company’s first 360-degree camera called Honor VR Camera in China on February 21st. Now, the company will be launching the same Honor V9 as Honor 8 Pro in Europe on April 5th. While the official launch is less than a week away, the device is now spotted on the company’s Russian official website. However, there is no information about the launch of Honor VR Camera in Europe. The listed device comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, but in China, the company also launched the 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants

The earlier rumors suggested Huawei to unveil the Honor 8 Pro at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, it had launched only the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones along with Android Wear 2.0 powered Huawei Watch 2. The company has already launched the Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart, and Honor 8 Lite smartphones and now the Honor 8 Pro will be the fourth device in the list. Unlike the Honor 8, the Honor 8 Pro will come with an all-metal body with rounded corners. The device will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0 out of the box.

It comes with a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution offering a pixel density of 515 ppi. Under the hood, the device comes with Kirin 960 octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. Coming to the camera department, the Honor 8 Pro will be continuing with the same 12MP + 12MP dual rear camera setup as seen on the Honor 8. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front. While the rear camera can record videos in 4K resolution, the front camera is limited to Full HD resolution.

The device also sports a circular fingerprint on the back of the device. It is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery and is mentioned to give up to 2 days of continuous usage with the Smart Power mode. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity which is missing on the Honor 8 smartphone. The Honor 8 Pro measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams. Connectivity options include Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port.
