You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Facebook picks up yet another feature from Snapchat for its messenger called as Messenger Day. This new feature has been introduced today and is rolling out to Messenger users globally. This will be available on Android as well as iOS, but nothing is mentioned about Windows OS yet. Just like Snapchat Stories and Instagram stories the photos or videos uploaded to Messenger Day will last 24 hours. We have seen a similar type of feature rolled out to WhatsApp Messenger recently called as status.
The new Messenger Day will come with a built-in camera button to take instant photos, and moreover, the user can also apply art and effects before sharing with the other users. There are more than 5000 frames, effects, and stickers and the user can also scribble on their photo by selecting the Aa option. You can also overlay a drawing by tapping the squiggly line in the top right corner. After all the editing part is done, the user needs to select the option My Day which will allow its users to share it with their users.
All these shared videos and photos will not last more than 24 hours which will be disappearing by them self. There is no limit on how many stories can be uploaded to My Day so the user can share as many photos and videos they want and they disappear in 24 hours, and you can also delete them just in case if you don’t want it. You can also choose only specific friends and family members to see it instead of sharing with everyone.
You need to have the latest Messenger app to enjoy this new feature. The user can also add a photo or video from the chats with friends or group to My day to share it. The user will be asked for the permission after selecting the particular photo or video and then it can be shared instantly. Did you receive the new update? How good is the new feature?
