You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
LG unveiled the new 2017 K-series smartphones just before the CES 2017, and at the MWC 2017, it came up with its latest flagship LG G6. Now, the LG Fortune joins the list of LG smartphones launched in 2017. It is the same LG K4 2017 that was launched earlier year. This new device is only limited to the U.S and will be sold through Cricket Wireless. Just last week, another U.S based carrier AT&T launched the K4 2017 as LG Phoenix 3. While AT&T is selling the Phoenix 3 at $80, the same device is costing $90 when purchased through Cricket.
Talking about the specifications, the LG Fortune comes with a 5-inch in-cell display on the front with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. It is powered by 32-bit Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz and coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. The RAM capacity of this device is not mentioned, but we expect it come with 1GB or 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB internal storage that can be further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot. Though there are thick bezels around the display, the device comes with on-screen navigation buttons.
On the camera front, the LG Fortune sports a 5MP autofocus camera on the rear with LED flash. There is also a 5MP fixed focus camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Unlike the LG K4 2017, this device lacks the dual SIM slots. It is backed by a 2,500mAh removable Li-ion battery that can give a decent battery life considering the less powerful specifications. The LG Fortune runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow and comes with LG UX UI laid on top. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
As seen on the Phoenix 3, the Fortune also misses the NFC support which is present on the K4 2017. It measures 144.76 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 136 grams. The volume rocker is on the left edge, whereas the power button can be found on the rear. It comes with a polycarbonate shell with a textured finish on the back. Just beside the LG on the rear, we can see the loud speaker. Last month, the company also launched the new LG K10 2017 here in India for just Rs. 13,990. It is assembled in India and comes with a dedicated SOS button which the Indian government made mandatory.
