Micromax to Launch New Bharat Series 4G Smartphones at Rs 3500 – Exclusive
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
In April 2016, Micromax came up with a new logo to establish itself as a youth-orientated brand. It even revamped its strategy and started its own e-commerce store (store.micromaxinfo.com) to sell its products directly to the consumers. On the same stage, the company also 19 new products out of which 15 are smartphones. However, the company has been silent after that whereas the other Indian smartphone brands are trying their best to compete with the Chinese manufacturers. After the announcement of Google Allo and Duo apps, Micromax came up with the new Vdeo series smartphones that come pre-installed with the Duo app. While it is available for free on PlayStore, it makes no sense to promote it as a special feature.
Recently, a couple of images of an unknown Micromax smartphone with dual camera setup are leaked. While there is no information about the launch of that device, now we got some exclusive news about their upcoming smartphones. Micromax will soon announce new Bharat series smartphones that pack basic specifications and runs on Android OS. These new device offers 4G LTE connectivity and most probably comes with Spreadtrum processors. Unlike the other cheaper smartphones, the Bharath series smartphones might come with at least 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. According to our source, these devices will be costing around Rs. 3,500.
Micromax is the first manufacturer to bring the affordable mobile phones to India. At 0ne time, it is even the largest selling brand beating Samsung. The company’s market started declining when the Chinese smartphones started offering better specifications and build quality at the same price. Though the Micromax is now selling laptops, LED TV’s and Air Conditioners, it lacks the good after sales service which is most important for the consumer electronics. With the Jio’s entrance, we have seen a sudden increase in the market share of 4G handsets. While Micromax failed to take advantage of this growth in 2016, we hope the new Bharath series helps the company to get back its dominant market share.
Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming 4G smartphones from Micromax.
