Alleged new Teaser confirms that OnePlus 5 will sport a Horizontal Dual Camera Setup

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

So far we have seen a ton of leaks surrounding the OnePlus 5 smartphone. We already know what the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and will be slimmer than the previous OnePlus flagship. However, one of the things which we have seen till now was the fact the OnePlus 5 will sport a dual camera setup with vertical alignment. But it looks like that is going to happen after all. According to the new leaks which we have, it looks like we will be seeing a horizontal alignment for the same.

A new teaser which was allegedly posted on Weibo shows what is claimed to the back cover of the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone. Taking a look at the back cover, you can clearly see that it doesn’t have anything like what we have heard till now. Yes, it does show off a dual rear camera setup, but as you can see it is not centered and also, it doesn’t have a vertical alignment. Instead, we can see that it is located on the top left corner of the phone and also we have a horizontal alignment for the same.

The antenna lines are also clearly visible, and in fact, we can also see a flash unit adjacent to the camera. The logo, on the other hand, is situated about two-fifth of the way down on the back. Well, from what it appears, it looks like the design of the smartphone is indeed going to be completely different than what we had initially expected it to be.

Also, from what we have heard, it looks like one of the dual cameras on the back will aid for taking monochrome images. This is certainly not the first time that we see a smartphone with the ability to take monochrome images. We already have the Huawei P9, P10, etc. doing it. But it is nice to see some kind of similar implementation here as well by OnePlus.

And as far as the other specs are concerned, we should see a 5.5″ display on the front along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. We also saw a new leak which stated that the smartphone would be powered by a 3,300 mAh battery. Well, we are now only a few days away from the launch date, and hence we hope to see more on this in coming days. If you want to be the first one to know about this smartphone, then be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info.
