Micromax Launches Canvas 2 (2017) in Russia at a Price lower than Indian MRP

In early May, we exclusively reported about the launch of the all-new Micromax Canvas 2 2017 smartphone in the Indian market. It is currently retailing at Rs. 11,999 and comes with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Yesterday, the company launched the same Canvas 2 2017 in Russia and interestingly, it is priced lower than what it costs in India. It is now available to pre-order for RUB 9,990 which converts to Rs. 11,399. Just like in India, Micromax is also offering the one-year screen replacement for free with every purchase in Russia.
The device runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with the 4G VoLTE support. It also packs a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 3,050mAh non-removable battery. The Canvas 2 2017 measures 8.5mm thickness and weighs around 160 grams. Beneath the display, there is a physical home button which comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

The smartphone is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 SoC which is a quad-core CPU and it has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded upto 64GB as well. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the front below the 5″ display. The company is also offering one-year free screen replacement for the consumers who buys this smartphone. Talking about today’s exclusive information, we have complete specifications of a new Micromax smartphone. The company will be soon launching the Micromax Canvas 2 2017 smartphone. Back in 2012, Micromax launched the Canvas 2 smartphone that came with the model number A110. Now, this new Canvas 2 2017 smartphone with the model number Q4310 packs much better hardware than its predecessor. After rebranding few devices, finally, we think the Canvas 2 2017 will be the original Micromax smartphone.
The exact pricing and availability of the device aren’t known yet. It comes with a metal built body and will be available in Chrome Black and Champagne Gold color options. The 5-inch display of the Canvas 2 2017 comes with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and offers 400nits of brightness. There is also a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front to protect the device from drops and scratches. Micromax is also offering one-year display guarantee where they will be replacing the display for free but only one time in the entire warranty period.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the customized UI laid on top. Apart from the new features of the latest Android OS like split screen multitasking and bundled notifications, the company is also offering additional software features like Control Pad. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Accompanying the processor is 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The device also offers a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to additional 64GB.
There is a 13MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. For selfies, the Canvas 2 2017 sports a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84.3-degree wide-angle lens. The volume rocker and power buttons are placed on the right edge of the Canvas 2 2017. With all these specs, the Canvas 2 2017 will be backed by a 3,050mAh battery that is rated to give 11 hours of talk time and lasts up to 50 hours in standby mode. This dual SIM device also offers 4G VoLTE support for using with the Jio 4G SIM.
