Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+ Smartphone Launched with 5-inch Display for Rs. 5,490

Intex has launched another budget 4G smartphone with VoLTE support and is called as Aqua Strong 5.1+. This new device will be the successor of the Aqua Strong 5.1 launched last year. This budget friendly device comes in Black and Gold color variants and is priced at Rs. 5,490. Nothing is mentioned about the availability of the handset, and we expect it to be available very soon. Intex has decided to push the MiFon security which is a 9-in-1 security suite, VdioPlay Video aggregator application, integrated smart tracking and QR Code for scanning codes.

Coming to the specifications of the Aqua Strong 5.1+, the device comes with a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA TN capacitive touchscreen display. Under the hood, there is a Quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor with a clocking speed of 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. The onboard memory on the handset is limited to 8GB, but the user can extend it up to a maximum of 64GB via microSD card slot.

The Aqua Strong 5.1+supports dual SIM connectivity and also comes with 4G VoLTE connectivity. The device will come out of the box with Android Marshmallow 6.0 and might get further updates in the future. On the camera front, there is a 5MP sensor on the rear with LED flash while it is accompanied with 2MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Looking at the specs the device will compete against Lenovo A2010, Micromax Canvas A1, Samsung Tizen Z3. Infocus M260, Xolo Era 4G, Asus Zenfone Go and Lava P7 which are in similar price range.

There is a 2000mAh battery on the rear, and the device come with dimensions of 143.1 mm × 72.1 mm × 10.1 mm and weighs 150.6 grams. At the launch even, Director and Business Head of Intex Technologies – Nidhi Markanday said that With the launch of our latest 4G-Volte smart phone – Aqua Strong 5.1+ we aim to offer consumers a smart phone that is perfect for data-savvy users. Today, with the advent of 4G devices, consumers are increasingly looking for devices which can offer better, faster and seamless internet connectivity which is what Aqua Strong 5.1+ has been designed keeping in mind.
