OnePlus Launches the new OnePlus 5 in India, Prices starts at 32,999 INR

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

After all the hype OnePlus officially unveiled the smartphone on June 20th. While we already knew pretty much everything about the smartphone, it was finally nice to see the smartphone in all its glory. However, in India, today is when the company had decided to launch it officially. As mentioned earlier, we already knew everything about the smartphone except the price. The company has launched the OnePlus 5 smartphone in India at a price of 32,999 INR for the 6GB/ 64GB variant, whereas the 8GB/ 128GB is priced at 37,999 INR.

Talking about the specs, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC internally which is the flagship SoC from Qualcomm that is powering a bunch of other flagship smartphones. However, in benchmark apps, you might find the OnePlus 5 to perform better than the others and that is because OnePlus has rigged the smartphone to do so. You can read more about it here. As mentioned earlier, it is available in two variants, i.e one with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM and the other variant has 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. This is officially the smartphone to be launched in India which has 8GB of RAM.

On the front, we have a 5.5-inch 1080p panel which is an Optic AMOLED panel just like every year. In terms of the camera, we are looking at a dual camera setup at the back which is very similar to what you can find on the iPhone 7 Plus. One of the two lenses is a telephoto lens to get that 1.6x optical lossless zoom. The Telephoto lens is a 20MP sensor whereas the other one is a standard 16MP sensor. On the front, we have a 16MP selfie camera as well. It packs single bottom-facing speaker, however, it includes three microphones with noise cancellation.

The OnePlus 5 will be available to purchase starting today exclusively via Amazon India website in two color options i.e Midnight Black & Slate Gray. Let us know if you would be upgrading to this smartphone or not.
