Alcatel Idol 5 Leaked with 5.2″ Full HD Display & 16MP Camera

TCL’s Alcatel will be launching a new lineup of smartphones at the upcoming IFA 2017. The latest leaks are about the Alcatel Idol 5 which was recently spotted on the benchmarking websites. While there are many leaks about the new Alcatel smartphones, this new device offers decent specifications and will compete with other mid-range smartphones. It sports a unibody metal design with curved antenna bands on the top and bottom rear and a 2.5D curved glass on the front. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and offers almost stock Android experience.
Talking about the specifications of the Alcatel Idol 5, it comes with 5.2-inch IPS offering Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6735 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. There is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via a MicroSD card slot. It comes with three on-screen navigation buttons and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear side. In the camera department, the Idol 5 sports a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Alcatel Idol 5 will be officially unveiled at the upcoming IFA 2017 that will be held in Berlin, Germany and is expected to be priced at €400. As of now, there is no information about the availability of this device in the markets outside of Europe. Earlier this week, the Alcatel A7 XL, A3 Plus, and U5 HD are leaked with press renders and complete specifications. The Alcatel U5 HD comes with a polycarbonate body with a textured back panel. It sports a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.
It packs 1GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage. However, there is a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. The smartphone runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat and supports dual SIM dual standby. The Alcatel U5 HD sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. On the front is a 5MP camera which also comes with a LED flash. It is backed by a 2,200mAh battery that is rated to give up to 4 hours of talk time and lasts up to 200 hours on standby.
