Samsung Launches Gear IconX 2018 Wireless Earbuds with Bixby Voice at IFA 2017

Along with Gear Sport and Gear Fit 2 Pro fitness wearables, Samsung also launched the Gear IconX (2018) wireless earbuds at the IFA 2017. This new pair of earbuds is the successor to original Gear IconX launched in 2016. These new cord-free earbuds come equipped with Bixby Voice that can be activated with a simple tap and hold.  The new Gear IconX 2018 fitness earbuds come in Black, Gray, and Pink color options.

The user can control the music or connected smartphone using the Bixby Voice. While the original Gear IconX has poor battery life, the company has substantially improved it with the new earbuds. It is rated to give up to five hours of music streaming or seven hours of standalone music playback. The 2018 variant earbuds also come with fast-charging that can give an hour of usage with just 10 minutes of charging. The case comes with USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging.

Each earbud has an 82mAh battery while the charging case sports an additional 340mAh battery capacity. It also features Running Coach function that provides in-ear audio exercise status updates in real-time. There is also 4GB of storage for offline music streaming. It comes with Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity for pairing and data sharing with the smartphones. These earbuds are compatible with the smartphones running on Android 4.4 or later with at least 1.5GB of RAM.

It includes an accelerometer, IR, and capacitive touch sensors. The pricing and availability of the Gear IconX (2018) earbuds will be announced soon.
