Earlier this week, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Note 8 as its first dual camera smartphone. The company is now getting ready to offer the same dual camera technology for the mid-range segment with its upcoming Galaxy J7+ smartphone. A few rumors also suggest the Galaxy J7+ is the same Galaxy J7 (2017) that was leaked earlier. The newly launched Galaxy Note 8 came with dual 12MP sensors with dual OIS. Coming to the Galaxy J7+, it sports a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. While the Galaxy J7+ lacks the Dual OIS, it includes the new Live Focus features introduced with the Galaxy Note 8.
It comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and offers Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The Galaxy J7+ comes powered by the 2.39GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. The physical home button on the front also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. With the NFC and MST support, the device can be used for authorizing payments using the Samsung Pay.
The smartphone runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with TouchWiz UI laid on top. For selfies, there is a whopping 16MP shooter on the front with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. Interestingly, the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8 came with an 8MP front facing camera. It even includes the in-house Bixby AI and sports a dedicated Bixby button on the left. The Galaxy J7+ is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that might come with Adaptive fast charging technology. It will support dual-SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity.
The leaks also confirmed the Galaxy J7+ to come in Black, Gold, and Pink color options. As of now, there is no information on the pricing of this device.
