LG will be unveiling the LG V30 and LG V30+ smartphones on August 31st at IFA 2017 event in Berlin, Germany. Apart from the rumored details, the company has officially revealed few features of the device. The primary sensor from the dual camera setup on the LG V30 smartphone will come with world’s largest aperture of f/1.6. It will be running on the upgraded LG UX 6.0+ that includes “Floating Bar” feature as a replacement to the secondary display. Today, LG has confirmed the upcoming LG V30 to come with Hi-Fi Quad DAC which was first introduced by its predecessor.
The 32-bit advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC on the LG V30 is powered by ESS Technology’s SABRE ES9218P. The Advanced Quad DAC now comes with new customizable options like digital filters and sound presets. While the difference in the sound can’t be identified with regular headsets, the Quad DAC with digital filters comes in handy while using the high-end headphones. According to the company, the Hi-Fi Quad DAC controls left and right audio signals separately, adjusting balance in such detail that listeners will feel as if they are standing in the center of a concert hall.
The company also managed to cut the distortion rate down to 0.0002 percent which means there will be very less information lost when converting digital data into analog signals. Apart from offering Hi-Fi audio output, the LG V30 includes HD Audio Recorder that uses the audio receiver of the phone simultaneously as a microphone. As seen with the LG V20, the upcoming LG V30 will also come with a premium B&O PLAY earphones within the package. B&O PLAY also refined the audio capabilities in the V30 by fine-tuning the overall sound experience.
LG also partnered with MQA Ltd to offer its Mater Quality Authenticated compression standard with the LG V30. With the MQA compression format, the user can enjoy high-quality streaming output with very low data usage. It is expected to come with 6-inch Quad HD+ FullVision display. The LG V30 will also be the first LG smartphone to come powered by Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. On the rear, the smartphone sports the dual camera setup and a power button that comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for the official details of the LG V30 along with its pricing and availability.
