You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

The Chinese smartphone maker, Gionee has launched the camera-centric Gionee A1, Gionee A1 Plus, and Gionee A1 Lite smartphones in India. Last week, the company introduced the new X-series by launching the Gionee X1 smartphone. Now, the leaks suggest Gionee to soon launch the Gionee X1s as an upgraded variant of the Gionee X1. The Gionee X1 came with decent-specifications and is priced at just Rs. 8,999. Now, the upcoming Gionee X1s will be priced slightly higher than the Gionee X1. However, both the devices share the same design with unibody metal design but come with different screen sizes.

The Gionee X1s sports a 5.2-inch IPS Display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) and is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is the 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor as seen on the Gionee X1 and comes coupled with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. There is also 3GB of RAM to offer seamless multitasking along with 32GB of internal storage. It even includes a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 256GB. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with the customized Amigo 4.0 UI laid on top.

It also sports an IR blaster for controlling the home electronics like TV and AC. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. Compared to the Gionee X1, the major changes can be found in the camera department. It sports a 13MP camera on the rear with PDAF and a 16MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied with LED flash. The Gionee X1s also applies the beauty filters while making video calls through WhatsApp and Messenger.

The smartphone is backed by 4,000mAh non-removable lithium polymer battery and will easily last more than a day of mixed usage. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons for Multitasking, Home, and Back (left to right). The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. It will be available in Black and Gold color options. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details.
