Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro Spotted On Company’s Official Website

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Over the past of weeks, we have been hearing a lot about Samsung‘s upcoming new fitness tracker called the Gear Fit 2 Pro. Well, if the name sounds familiar, that is mainly because the company already launched the Gear Fit 2 last year and this is sort of like an upgraded version of it. Well, if you have following the news lately, then you probably already know that it was leaked upto an extent where we now know literally how it is going to look. However, now the company has listed the product on their official website which more or less officially confirms the same.

Do make a note that the listing is not available anymore, however, it was listed on the company’s Malaysian website. Thanks to Evan Blass, most of us could get a glimpse of it, so that we could write about the same. As mentioned earlier, it is just an upgraded version of the last year’s Gear Fit 2 and hence what we are looking at here is just an upgraded version of the same with just a few changes. The biggest change which we have this year is that the device is now water resistant up to 5ATM (roughly 50 meters or around 164 feet). This means that you will be able to wear the Gear Fit 2 Pro while swimming, etc.

And not just that, in order to help you get more out of it, the company is also throwing in the Speedo app which will also allow you to track the speed at which you are swimming, etc. If you followed through our coverage, then you probably already know that it has a different buckle to keep it nice and snug on your wrist while you perform your activities. This one also sort of has a new display which has fewer bezels on the sides, but the difference is not really that huge and needless to say that last year’s display was equally good as well.

However, ignore all of that, we have pretty much the same product. This year’s variant will also allow you to install a few apps from the Galaxy App store. It also has GPS for tracking runs, etc. As far as the battery life is concerned, the company says that it will run for about 2-3 days on a single charge, however, this is something that we need to test. In terms of the color options, it looks like we are getting two options i.e. black and red. Coming to the pricing and the availability, we don’t have much info, however, it looks like it will be priced at $199 in the U.S. If you are interested in this device, then we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more coverage.
