You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has officially launched, it is finally time to focus on some other smartphones. Speaking of some other smartphone, here we are, talking about the next big thing in the smartphone industry i.e. the iPhone 8. Well, so far we have heard a lot of about the iPhone 8 right? Pretty much everything about the smartphone is confirmed. We know how it is going to look and probably how much it will cost as well. However, now we have received one more piece of information which tells something new about the smartphone.
According to a new report from our source, it looks like the iPhone 8 will be offered in three storage configurations. iPhone being offered in three storage configurations is nothing new for us since pretty much most of the iPhones have been offered in three storage config. However, it looks like the high-end variant of the iPhone 8 will sport 512GB(Samsung and Hynix) of storage which is first of its kind. In case you are wondering, recently the iPads were refreshed with 512GB of storage and it looks like the same is going to happen with the iPhone 8 as well.
Talking about the other storage configurations, it has been reported that it will also be offered in 64GB(Sandisk and Toshiba) as well as 256GB(Sandisk and Toshiba) config, meaning that we will have a total of three storage config. Well, if this true then we must say that Apple is yet again playing the dirty game here with the iPhones. We all know that 64GB storage is going to get over with a few minutes of 4K video footage and hence most people would go for the net variant which is 256GB. And yes, that is definitely going to cost a lot more than the standard variants.
However, another thing which the source mentions here is the fact that the iPhone 8 will also have 3GB RAM across the board. So regardless of which storage config you choose, you will be getting 3GB of RAM, which is good. Yes, definitely, in 2017 when other smartphones are flying around with 6GB/ 8GB RAM, 3GB might not sound like a lot, however, we believe that iOS 11 can definitely benefit from the added RAM. And with that said, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Are you planning on picking up with the iPhone 8 and if yes, then at what storage configuration?
