There also few Asian brands which have unveiled their flagship devices in the month of May. If you are looking for some high-end devices with premium build quality and top class specifications, then below are the few smartphones that are available in selected markets. HTC 10

HTC officially launched its latest flagship HTC 10 in two variants with two different processors. Apart from the Snapdragon 820 powered HTC 10, the company also launched the HTC 10 Lifestyle with Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. Even LG also launched the LG G5 SE with Snapdragon 652 SoC for price sensitive markets. HTC has announced both the variants for the Indian market along with six other smartphones. It features 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad HD resolution and dual curved Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

It has 4GB of RAM, and the storage is only limited to just 32GB. There is no information about the availability of the 64GB variant here in India, but the company offers MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It sports a 12MP rear camera with laser autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS). The 3,000mAh battery on HTC 10 can give 21 hours of talk time and also supports Quick Charge 3.0 that charge 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the latest Sense UI 8.0 overlaid.

Sony Xperia X Dual

Sony had introduced the Xperia X and Xperia XA smartphones in India in May. Since the company skipped the Xperia X Performance, the Xperia X will be the current flagship device from the Sony in India. The device is built out of metal and sports 2.5D 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. On the front, we can also find the dual front facing speakers. It is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

The device includes 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 200GB via MicroSD card slot. It comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button on the right edge. Coming to the camera department, it sports a 23MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and hybrid autofocus, and a 13MP front camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. The Xperia X is backed by a 2,620mAh battery that is said to last more than a day of usage. It will be sold online through Amazon at a price of Rs. 46,990.

Honor V8

Just after launching the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus with dual camera setup on the back, Huawei launched yet another dual rear camera smartphone under its subbrand Honor. The Honor V8 is also the first Honor smartphone to come with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display. In early 2015, the company had launched the Honor 6 Plus; it’s first ever smartphone with dual rear cameras. Talking about the Honor V8, it comes with an all metal body and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 out of the box.

It sports a 5.7-inch display, and one variant comes with Full HD resolution. The device is powered by the Kirin 950 octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz; it is the third smartphone next to Huawei Mate 8 and P9 series. The Honor V8 packs 4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB and 64GB storage variants. On the back is the dual 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and laser autofocus. While on the front is an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4. It is backed by a 3,500mAh non-removable battery and features a fingerprint sensor on the back.

 

HTC One X9

The HTC One X9 was first launched in December last year and after five months, the company has made the device official in India. It comes with a uni-build metal body and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The One X9 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the device is powered by Helio X10 octa-core processor and includes 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded upto 2TB with the provided MicroSD card slot.

It features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and optical image stabilization. There is also a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture that can record videos at 1080p resolution. The device supports dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE connectivity option. The dual front facing speakers come with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio to improving the audio experience. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver 15 hours of talk time. The One X9 measures 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm and weighs 174 grams.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe

The Zenfone 3 Deluxe from ASUS is the first smartphone to launch with an all metal body and invisible antenna design. It also packs the all the latest hardware and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Zen UI 3.0 out of the box. The device features a 5.7-inch Full HD display along with Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device.

It will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants and there is also MicroSD card slot for further expanding upto 128GB. The device comes with a 23MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports fast charging that gives 60% of charging in just 39 minutes. It measures 156.4 x 77.4 x 7.5 mm and weighs 170 grams. The basic variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost $499 and is expected to be available soon in the market.
