Earlier: May 17th, 2016 – In November 2015, Huawei launched the 6-inch phablet Mate 8 at an exclusive event held in China. It comes with high-end specifications packed into a premium metal build body. The device was later brought to the global markets by launching at the CES 2016. In 2016, the Chinese brands have been very aggressive in marketing and promotions. Recently we also exclusively covered about the possible chances of ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia to rope-in Cristiano Ronaldo as their brand ambassador. To add much heat to the above speculation, two days back he had also opened his official account on the Chinese social networking site Weibo.
Huawei, the third largest global smartphone brand, recently launched the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus with Leica branded dual rear camera setup. It also the largest smartphone brand in its home country where Samsung and Apple aren’t even in the top 5 list. Other top Chinese brands, OPPO and Vivo had sponsored for two of the largest cricket tournaments in the world.
