First Front Camera Sample from OnePlus 3 hints at Selective Focus Feature
OnePlus is expected to launch its 2016 flagship smartphone OnePlus 3 in the next few weeks. The company is also offering the Loop VR headset for experiencing the OnePlus 3 launch in Virtual Reality. Even the OnePlus 2 was launched in the same way but at that time, OnePlus offered cardboard VR headsets. Today Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus has posted the first ever camera sample from the front camera of OnePlus 3.
The leaks suggest the device to feature an 8MP sensor on the front. The image looks bright and sharp even though it was captured in the indoor location. From the image, we can show the Pete Lau himself from the rest of the image. This hints the OnePlus 3 front camera to feature selective focus feature which we normally don’t find on front facing cameras.
Talking about the device itself, the earlier leaked image suggests the design of the device looks similar to HTC 10. Even the upcoming Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 also leaked with the same design. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and might come in two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. While the front camera is said to be of 8MP resolution, the primary camera will feature 16MP sensor.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS for international markets and in China, it runs on Hydrogen OS. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that will support fast charging.
