Best Upcoming Smartphones of June 2016 – Expected Specs & Features
In June, we will be seeing few smartphones debuting the Indian market and few other devices to be unveiled internationally. While the complete details are already available about the devices that are launched in the foreign markets, we need to wait till the official launch for the final pricing of those devices. The brands that have already announced the launch dates most probably make them available in the same month, but we can’t guarantee that. So mark the launch dates and visit Phoneradar on that day for complete information.
(Scroll down for the brief details about the respective devices)
ZTE had launched the Nubia Z11 Mini last month, and recently the company announced the Nubia Z11 Max launch date as June 7th. While we expected the company to launch both Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max on one stage, somehow the company had decided both the devices separately. Recently the company announced Cristiano Ronaldo as their global brand ambassador. The Nubia Z11 Max comes with a 6-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 510 GPU. From the rear, the device looks same as the Redmi Note 3. It comes with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery along with fast charging support. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. This dual SIM device offers 4G LTE along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
OnePlus is expected to launch the 2016 flagship OnePlus 3 in the third week of June. The device comes with an all metal body with a physical home button on the front. The design of the device looks similar to the HTC 10. It comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button and the Alert Slider for the controlling the notifications. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and packs the flagship Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor.
It comes with 4GB of RAM and few rumors hints about the 6GB RAM variant. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS for international markets. It features a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The 3,000mAh battery keeps the device powered on and might come with Quick Charge 3.0 support. After skipping the NFC in OnePlus 2, the company is bringing it back on OnePlus 3 with the increased usage of mobile payments.
Xiaomi has been very aggressive in launching new smartphones in 2016. Recently the company also launched the Mi Drone with 4K recording capabilities that cost 2999 Yuan. After launching the 6.44-inch Mi Max in China, now the company is rumored to launch the entry-level Redmi 3A smartphone. Earlier this year, the company launched the Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro with metal build body and massive 4,100mAh battery priced at 699 Yuan and 899 Yuan respectively.
The Redmi 3A comes with the same 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels display). It might be powered by Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The 4,100mAh battery might be also present on this device. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with MIUI laid on top. There will be a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It supports 4G LTE along with other basic connectivity features. As seen with the pricing of the earlier devices, the Redmi 3A might cost only 599 Yuan.
Earlier this month, Lenovo launched three new devices – Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play under the Moto G series. The leaks and rumors suggest the company to launch the high-end Moto Z devices. The Moto Z will be replacing the Moto X series from 2016. The new Moto Z device also said to come with modular features. The additional modules called Moto Mods can be connected to the 16 pins on the rear with the magnetic effect.
If the rumors are to be believed, the company will offer six modules called a Pro camera, Adventure, Theatre, Stereo, Power, and Style at the time of launch. Just like the Moto G4 Plus, the Moto Z 2016 device will come with the squared shaped fingerprint sensor on the front. The leaked specifications of the device are 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, and 16MP primary camera. It will be running on vanilla flavored Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with minor tweaks.
LeEco unveiled their latest smartphone Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 smartphones at an event held in Beijing in April. All the three smartphones miss the 3.5mm audio port, but the package includes the earphones with USB Type-C port that can be connected to the smartphone via USB Type-C port. On June 8th, the company scheduled an event in India where we expect the Le 2 and Le 2 Pro debut the Indian market. The two devices run on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with LeEco’s customized EUI skin laid on top.
Both the devices come with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. The Le 2 is powered by Helio X20 deca-core processor along with 3GB of RAM, on the other hand, the Le 2 Pro includes upgraded Helio X25 deca-core processor and 4GB of RAM. Both the devices are backed by a 3,000mAh battery and packs USB Type-C port with fast charging support. The Le 2 sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, but the Le 2 Pro features an even better rear camera with 21MP resolution.
