LG G Pad III 8.0 Tablet with FHD screen, LTE & Full-Sized USB Support Launched

As teased earlier, LG has officially launched a new mid-range tablet called as LG G Pad III 8.0 in Canada. The device is the upgraded variant of the G Pad II 8.0 that released last year. The tablet comes with decent specifications and will be targeted towards the youth who are looking for a value for money product. The G Pad III 8.0 is priced at CAD 240 (approx $184 / Rs. 12,348) and is available for purchase via Rogers and Fido in Canada.

As the name indicates, the G Pad III 8.0 comes with an 8-inch (1920×1200 pixels) TFT display that offers a pixel density of 283ppi. The display comes with Zero Gap technology that reduces internal reflective light for great visual experience in any light condition. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM for lag-free performance. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based LG UX UI overlaid.

On the camera front, the device sports a 5MP camera on both sides that are capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution. The 4G-enabled smartphone includes standard connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. The tablet also comes with a built-in full-sized USB port that allows you to connect any keyboard, mouse, pen drives and many more.

The tablet comes backed by a 4800mAh battery that the company claims can offer upto 20 days of standby time. The device also comes with one-click reader mode that reduces the blue light and makes it convenient for reading. The dimensions of the tablet measure 210.7 x 124.1 x 7.9 mm weighs around 309 grams and comes in Balck color option. As of now, there are no details about the availability of the LG G Pad III 8.0 in other markets.

Earlier, we exclusively reported about LG working on its next iteration of the G Flex series called as G Flex 3. The smartphone is expected to arrive with a 5.5-inch 2K flexible display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM and will be unveiled at the IFA 2016 event in Berlin. LG is also working on a new smartphone in its X series called as LG X5 and has already registered a trademark with the  Korean Intellectual Property Rights Authority (KIPRIS).
