LeEco Le Max Gets EUI 5.5014S OTA Update Featuring LeEco Membership and Le Live
LeEco, formerly known as Letv has finally started to roll out a much awaited update to its Le Max handset. The highlight of the massive OTA (Over the Air) update is that users of Le Max can now opt for LeEco Membership, which was first introduced with the Made for India handset, the Le 1S Eco. The Chinese giant launched its India-focused handset earlier this month with LeEco Membership that includes movie title, a ton of cloud storage and access to live channels. All these would be integrated into the EUI apps like Le Vidi, Live, Music, etc.
We have the Le Max with us; it was last night only that we got an update and decided to post after using it for some time. The new OTA will put your Le Max to EUI 5.5014S, which is a jump from 5.5012S that was released in April. The file size is very large at 1206.41MB, so that’s why we recommend users to download this OTA update over the stable Wi-Fi stable connection. Also, make sure that the battery percentage of your device is more than 50%, thus making sure the update procedure is completed without any interruption.
Talking about the changelog, the update brings functionalities like LeEco Live and LeEco Membership. Apart from that, you’ll see a lot of software optimization and fixes for apps like Camera, Maps, Browser and Music Player. There are some improvements at the system level as well, which includes power optimization and fixing typos for certain modules. After this update, the camera app should not close automatically as many users reported. The camera temperature warning has been changed from 50 degrees to 45 degrees.
If you haven’t received this update on your Le Max smartphone yet, well, all you got to do is head over to Settings app. There scroll down to tap on the System update option; then you’ll see system checking for an update. Once the window appears showcasing the OTA, all you have to do is download, and it will automatically install the file. Do make a note that this procedure takes time, so make sure you don’t have any important call to attend.
