Xiaomi Mi Band 2 with LED Display to Launch on June 7th
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi Band 2 alongside it’s biggest ever smartphone Mi Max on May 10th. But the company had postponed the launch of Mi Band successor due to production issues. Today Xiaomi debuted the Drone market by launching the Mi Drone. and hinted the Mi Band 2 launch to happen on June 7th. It comes in two variants with Full HD resolution camera and the other variant comes sports the camera with 4K recording capabilities.
The Mi Drone has priced aggressively when compared with other Drone with similar capabilities. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Drone with Full HD camera is priced at 2499 Yuan while the 4K supported Mi Drone costs 2999 Yuan. As of now, its only limited to the Chinese market and we don’t expect it to reach international markets anytime soon.
After launching the popular Mi Band in mid-2014, last year the company had updated it with Mi Band Pulse which comes with an added heart-rate sensor. Before to the Mi Max launch event, the company mentioned that going for the launch without much stock will be bad for both consumers and the company. The Mi Band 2 was first spotted on the hands of Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi where it comes with a display and also a physical button.
As seen with the Mi Band, the Mi Band 2 also comes as a stand-alone device with a rubber strap. We guess the strap to be available in different color options. The display on the Mi Band 2 is expected to show time along with fitness information. While the earlier Mi Band and Mi Band Pulse are priced at 99 Yuan, the Mi Band 2 might costs slightly on the higher side. Since the launch event is less than two weeks away, stay tuned for more updates!
