Sony Xperia Beta Marshmallow Update to allow moving Apps to SD Card
The last couple of years for Sony haven’t been fruitful as it has failed to report profits. The main reason behind the loss was the failure of the Xperia Z5 family. The company has also dropped its Z series and replaced it with X series at the MWC 2016 event. The company introduced three devices Xperia X, XA and X performance in its all-new Xperia X lineup back in February and are still unavailable in most of the major markets including India. Most recently the brand launched a camera-centric device named as Xperia XA Ultra with 16MP OIS front camera and will be for purchase available only in July.
Today, Sony Mobile has announced that it will release an Android Marshmallow Beta update next week. The update will be available only for those in the Sony’s beta program and will land on the users of Xperia Z2, Z3, and Z3 Compact. The update will come with build number 23.5.A.1.203 and as per the company will have 400 fixes and improvements. The update will include an option that allows’s you to transfer all apps to SD card. It also includes a fix for the ‘unknown call / private number’ bug which occurs for stored contacts and the calendar application crashes.
Sony is all set to launch a mid-range smartphone in its E-series called as Xperia E5. The company recently revealed the first look of the device on its official Facebook page and is expected to be officially launched on June 5th. The smartphone comes with 5-inch HD display and will come powered by MediaTek MT6735 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It has 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, 13MP main camera, and 5MP front snapper. The device supports NFC connectivity and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
