Gionee A1 Smartphone with 5.5-inch IPS FHD display & 16MP selfie camera launched in India for 19,999 INR

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Gionee launched the A1 and the A1 Plus smartphone at MWC 2017 earlier this year. Now the company has launched the A1 smartphone here in India at an event which was held in the capital city. As we had exclusively reported earlier, the A1 smartphone comes with “Make in India” tag which means that it is assembled here in India itself. This selfie centric smartphone is priced at 19,999 INR and it will be sold in both online as well as offline markets.

Talking about the specs of this smartphone, it comes with 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Powering the device internally is the Helio P10 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM which should be ideal for some heavy multitasking. The device also has a 64GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card as well upto 128GB. Inside the metal body is a 4,010 mAh battery which should be good for a day’s worth of usage and it also supports fast charging which is said to be capable of charging the battery in just 2 hours.

On the camera side of things, we have a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 16MP selfie camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. What’s interesting is that, both the cameras have LED flash for capturing better photos and videos even in low light conditions. On the front, we have a home button with a fingerprint sensor embedded into it. However, above all, the IR blaster integration with the rear facing LED flash is what makes this device stand out in terms of innovation. The smartphone will be first one from Gionee to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box along with the Amigo 4.0 OS on top of it. The smartphone will be available in Gold, Black and Grey colour variants.
