Nubia Launches Z11 Mini S Smartphone with 4GB RAM & 23MP Camera at Rs. 16,999

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Nubia, the Chinese smartphone brand has launched quite a few decent smartphones in the past. Just like its parent company ZTE, Nubia also sells its smartphones in most of the western markets. Last year, the company launched the Nubia Z11, Z11 Max, and Z11 Mini smartphones as the successors to the last year’s Nubia Z9 series smartphones. The global launch of the flagship Nubia Z11 with 6GB RAM was held at the IFA 2016 in Berlin and was later launched here in India for Rs. 29,999. Today, it came up with a new smartphone called Nubia Z11 Mini S which was first launched in China in October last year.

Commenting on the launch, Dheeraj Kukreja, Marketing Director of Nubia India, said,

“Nubia is a metronome when it comes to pushing user experience. The Z11 Mini S will lead the way in camera phones. We have been meticulous in building this device and it is tailored to meet the modern user’s requirements. The phone features a high-end camera that is powered by nubia’s proprietary NeoVision 6.0 photography system. It has everything a photography enthusiast can ask for, and that too in a phone. Z11 mini S comes 0.1s rapid focus and the capability to beautify videos on the fly and will serve as a benchmark in this segment. We are committed to our customers and will continue to focus on making nubia the leading smartphone brand in India.”

The Nubia Z11 Mini S comes with an Aluminum build body with curved antenna bands over the top and bottom edges. The Meizu Pro 6 is the first smartphone to feature similar antenna design and the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus also came with the same curved design. On the back of the device, we can find the circular fingerprint sensor. The Nubia Z11 Mini came with a similar design but sports glass on the rear instead of metal. On the front is a 2.5D 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. There is no bezel-less display as seen on the flagship Nubia Z11.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. This is the same processor that also powers the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 Plus. The Nubia Z11 Mini S includes 4GB of RAM and comes in two variants with 64GB and 128GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 200GB. It will be available in Champagne, Khaki, and Black Gold colors. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and with NeoPower 2.0 power management, it can easily last more a than a day of mixed usage. The earlier launched Nubia Z11 Mini came with a slightly smaller 2,800mAh battery.

Coming to the USP of this new device, there is a 23MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and Sapphire lens. For selfies, Nubia Z11 Mini S offers a 13MP Sony IMX25 sensor on the front with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and 5P lens. It supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot where the user can opt for MicroSD card instead of the second SIM. The Nubia Z11 Mini S also offers 4G VoLTE connectivity on both the SIMs. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Nubia UI 4.0. Till date, there is no information about the Android 7.0 Nougat update from Nubia. As seen with other Nubia devices, the Nubia Z11 Mini S also supports FiT 2.0 (Frame Interactive Technology) gestures, where the users can swipe on the right or the left edge of the device for certain functions.

The NeoSafe 2.0 enhances the security on the device which makes the device safe for NFC-based payments and fingerprint authentication. As seen many other Chinese smartphones, this device also supports cloning apps so that the users can have two Whatsapp or WeChat accounts on the same device. It measures 7.6 mm thickness and weighs 158 grams. The Nubia Z11 Mini S is priced at 16,999 and is exclusively sold through Amazon India starting March 21st. It will be available in Moon Gold and Khaki Grey color options.
