You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy C9 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro smartphones in China. Later the Galaxy C9 Pro is also made available in India, while the Galaxy C7 Pro was recently listed for pre-orders in Hong Kong. While the Galaxy C5 Pro was briefly revealed during the Galaxy C7 Pro launch, now Samsung China has quietly listed the device on their official website. The design of the device looks similar to the Galaxy C7 Pro with the slim triple antenna lines and curved metal body. The new Galaxy C5 Pro is the successor to last year’s Galaxy C5 and comes in Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.

It is priced at 2499 Yuan (approx $360 / Rs. 24,000) whereas the Galaxy C7 Pro and C9 Pro are costing 2899 Yuan and 3199 Yuan respectively. The Galaxy C5 Pro sports a smaller 2.5D 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display compared to the 5.7-inch display on the Galaxy C9 Pro. It also comes with Always-On display features that shows time, date, and other selected data without consuming much data. With the smaller form factor, this new device also comes with a smaller 2,600mAh battery. However, it supports Samsung’s in-house adaptive fast charging technology.

Apart from the smaller display and battery, rest of the specifications remain same on both the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro smartphones. Under the hood, the device packs Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and the Adreno 506 GPU looks after graphics performance. It includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to another 256GB. The physical home button on the front come integrated with a fingerprint sensor and can be used for Samsung Pay.

The device still runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with the customized TouchWiz UI laid on top. In the camera department, there is a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 on front and back of the device. While the rear camera comes with autofocus and LED flash, the front camera is limited to fixed focus. It supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM slot, where the user can opt either for secondary SIM or a MicroSD card. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, ANT+, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port.

It measures 145.7 x 71.4 x 7 mm and weighs around 145 grams. All the pre-ordered devices will be shipped only after March 16th, and there is no information about the availability of this device in the other markets. Samsung is also offering 220 Yuan worth 64GB OTA pen drive and a portable travel bag for free along with every pre-ordered device.
