Coolpad Cool Play 6 with 6GB RAM & 13MP Dual Cameras Launched in India for Rs. 14,999

After teasing from the last couple of weeks, Coolpad has officially launched the high-end Cool Play 6 smartphone today in India. It was first launched in China in May this year for 1499 Yuan. Now, the device was launched in India for Rs. 14,999 and comes with same top-notch specifications. With the dual cameras, the Cool Play 6 competes with the Lenovo K8 Note and Honor 6X smartphones. Even Motorola is also teasing the launch of dual-camera equipped Moto G5S Plus smartphone in India. The Cool Play 6 will be exclusively sold through Amazon India starting September 4th.
It sports a unibody metal design and comes in Gold and Black color options. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the company has promised to release the Android O update by the end of this year. Talking about the specifications, it comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It includes whopping 6GB of RAM which should be good enough for playing graphic intensive games and lag-free multitasking.
At Rs. 14,999, the Cool Play 6 is also the most affordable 6GB RAM smartphone available in the market. There is also 64GB of internal storage on this device. In terms of optics, there is a 13MP Monochrome sensor & 13MP RGB sensor on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, and dual tone LED flash. The Cool Play 6 also comes with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 4,060mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give 9 hours of internet usage and lasts up to 252 hours on standby mode.
The Cool Play 6 measures 152.4 x 75.2 x 8.45 mm and weighs 175 grams. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for accessing high-speed data and making HD voice calls. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. Beneath the display are the capacitive navigation buttons and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. On the connectivity front, the Cool Play 6 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
Earlier this month, the company also launched the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C smartphone in India for Rs. 7,777. It is exclusively sold via offline channels and comes in Grey and Gold color options. It is the first Coolpad smartphone to run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. As the name suggests, it is the lite variant of the already launched Coolpad Note 5 Lite. It sports a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor. The Note 5 Lite C packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, and 2,500mAh battery.
