LG will be launching its new V series smartphone called LG V30 on August 31st at IFA 2017. There are also few leaks about the possible launch of LG V30 Plus (V30+) smartphone on the same stage. Now, Evan Blass has unofficially confirmed the LG V30 Plus launch by posting the the device logo. Recently, the company also launched LG Q6, LG Q6 Plus, and LG Q6 Alpha smartphones. While all these three devices come with same design and almost similar specifications, the differences only lies in the RAM and storage capacities.
Now, the LG V30 Plus might also comes with the same specifications as on the LG V30. While there is no official confirmation, the LG V30 Plus might offer 128GB of internal storage, where as the LG V30 will be limited to 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Evan Blass also confirmed the Quad DAC for Hi-Fi audio output will be included globally with the LG V30. At the MWC 2017, the company launched the LG G6 smartphone with the same Quad DAC, but it wasn’t made available in the U.S. Instead, the U.S variant of the LG G6 came with wireless charging feature.
Last year’s LG V2o is the world’s first smartphone to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Since the Android 8.0 Oreo was officially announced just yesterday, the company might not repeat the same with LG V30. The LG V30 will be the first LG smartphone to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor built using the 10nm FinFET process. It comes with Adreno 540 GPU and Bluetooth 5.0. The metal frame and glass body combination of the LG V30 makes it water resistant. Just like its predecessor, the new LG flagship will also support wireless charging.
LG has already confirmed the LG V30 to sport POLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be running on the all-new LG UX 6.0+ that offers floating bar software feature as a replacement to the secondary display. The power button placed on the rear of LG V30 will come integrated with the fingerprint sensor. On the rear, we will be seeing the dual camera setup that offers an aperture of f/1.6. Based on the leaks, the LG V30 and LG V30 Plus will offer dual rear cameras featuring 16MP primary sensor and 13MP secondary sensor. Takes these specifications with a pinch of sale and wait for the official launch to get the official details of both the LG V30 and V30 Plus smartphones.
