You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Apple‘s iPhone 8 has been leaked a ton of times and we have covered about the same a lot of times. Over the course of time, we have been seeing a ton of new rumors and leaks about this smartphone and with each and every new leak, the final design seems to have taken a pretty good shape. However, now we have yet another leak about the smartphone and it indicates a unique detail about the smartphone.

The new leak which we have right now of the OLED display assembly of the iPhone 8. As you can see from the leaked image which is embedded down below, there are four different cutouts on the top of the display. Assuming that one of them is for the front-facing camera and the other one is for the Iris- scanner, we still have two more cutouts. Out of the two, we can justify saying that the one is for sensors, however, we are still left with one more.

This particular cutout also has a different shade and it sort of looks like it could be for the front-facing flash. Well, there are a ton of reports out there which tells us that it could the second Iris scanner. As of now, we don’t know the need for two iris scanner, however, previous rumors says that it could be for added accuracy.

Having said that, it is not clear if this is for the second iris scanner or front-facing flash. And we believe that this is something which we will come to know only after it gets launched officially. Meanwhile, there are a bunch of other images as well which shows the connecting cables, etc. You can take a look at the gallery to check them out in detail. As you can also see, the form factor of the iPhone 8 appears to be very similar to the iPhone 7 since there is no TouchID/ home button on the front.

While this new leak tells us a lot about the panel, it also leaves us with a ton of questions. With all that being said, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Do you think the iPhone 8 will have a front-facing flash? Be sure to let us know.
