OnePlus 5 8GB RAM Variant Now Comes in Slate Gray Color in India

Back in June, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5 smartphone with dual camera setup and whopping 8GB RAM. While the 8GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 37,999, there is also a slightly affordable variant with 6GB RAM priced at Rs. 32,999. The OnePlus 5 8GB RAM variant comes in Midnight Black, whereas the Slate Gray color is made exclusive to the 6GB RAM variant. Today, the company launched the Slate Gray color variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage in India. Just like the Midnight Black variant, the new Slate Gray colored OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM will be retailing at Rs. 37,999.

Earlier this month, the company also launched the new Mint Gold colored OnePlus 5 with 6GB RAM. Apart from the differences in RAM and storage, rest of the specifications remain same on both the variants. The device comes with an Anodized Aluminum body with curved Antenna bands placed across the top and bottom edges. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Optic AMOLED display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.45GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 540 GPU.

There is no MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Oxygen OS and will get the Andriod O update after its public release. On the rear is 16MP & 20MP dual camera setup with f/1.7 and f/2.6 aperture respectively. As seen on the iPhone 7 Plus, the OnePlus also captures images with 2X lossless zoom. It includes EIS, fast autofocus, & dual LED flash. Even the 16MP front facing camera on the OnePlus comes with EIS & screen flash. The home button on the OnePlus 5 comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor and can authorize mobile payments.

The device is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery and supports in-house Dash Charge fast charging technology with the 5V/4A (20W) power adapter. On the connectivity front, the OnePlus includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. It measures 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.25 mm and weighs 153 grams. Even the parent company of OnePlus, OPPO also launched the mid-range OPPO F3 smartphone in new Rose Gold color. There is also an Oppo F3 Deepika Padukone Limited Edition smartphone that goes on sale starting today in India.
