You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Well, the wait for the Galaxy Note 8 has ended! Samsung has finally unveiled it Note series flagship device at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. The South Korean Giant was reeled with the series of blasts with Note 7 due to the faulty batteries before which the Note series devices were worth waiting for. There are a lot of flagship killers around and LG V30 along with iPhone 8 being among them that are going to be unveiled soon. After the success story of the LG V20, there are high expectations with V30 and who does not wait for the next iPhone? Apple is going to plan some thing big this time as it is going to be its 10th anniversary and I don’t expect anything less.

Let us go with the flow and consider the rumored specifications of the LG V30 and iPhone 8 and compare them with the Galaxy Note 8. Considering few of the key features of these handsets we would like put forward our views and look to list out the best.

Design:

The Galaxy Note 8 will come with the aluminum frame around and a glass back. There is a square shaped chassis while the physical-capacity buttons have been replaced by on-screen navigation buttons. The LG’s V30 is also expected to come with a metal and glass design. Apple is rumored to move away from the traditional aluminum body we have seen and adopt a glass body instead.

All the three devices are going to be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and are going to come with minimal bezels or no bezels. The Note 8 will feature the stylus for which the Note series has been famous for while these handsets are not going to feature any physical buttons to save the space.

Display:

The Galaxy Note 8 has been announced with a QHD+ infinity display following the steps of the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The display measures 6.3-inches and also supports mobile HDR premium playback and comes with a pixel density of 522ppi with a resolution of 2960 x 1440. Samsung has used an OLED panel and will also come with an always on display to read all the notifications easily.

Moreover, the LG V30 is confirmed to come with a 6-inch FullVision display offering a QHD resolution giving a pixel density of 537ppi and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The has always been making LCD panels for its smartphone and it will be interesting to see how they will come out. There is no much information of the iPhone 8 but it is said that Apple is planning to push the OLED panel for its upcoming flagship.

Camera:

The Galaxy Note 8 features a dual camera setup like all the 2017 flagship devices which comes out with a 12MP wide angle main sensor with f/1.7 aperture accompanied with a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. Moreover, both these cameras come with OIS and many other camera features. There is also an 8MP AF camera with f/1.7 aperture size and will be bundled out with iris scanner and facial recognition.

Coming to the V30 and iPhone 8, both are said to be coming with dual rear camera setup but the resolutions of them are to be confirmed yet, but considering LG G6 which came with dual 13MP rear camera setup, we can expect a similar configuration on the V30. Even these devices might sport the iris scanner and the facial recognition features like the Note 8.

Software and Hardware:

Without a doubt, the Galaxy Note 8 will run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat Operating system while it will be among the first list of devices to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC in the U.S and Korean market while the rest of the world will be backed up by an Exynos 8895 processor. There is also a 6GB of RAM and comes in 64GB/128GB and 256GB of internal storage options. The user can also use the secondary SIM slot to extend the memory upto another 256GB. The device also sports a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast charging.

Even the LG V30 will be coming with the latest Android Operating system and will also get further updates if available. The device is rumored to be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable via microSD card slot. Nothing about the battery has been leaked yet but it is also expected to feature more than 3000mAh.

The iPhone 8 will also sport the latest iOS 11 which is in beta right now and might feature a 3GB RAM as we have already seen a 2GB RAM on iPhone 7. The device will be coming in 32GB/64GB and 128 GB of storage variants and might feature a battery around 2200mAh of capacity which will support fast charging feature. The device will also feature its trademark personal assistant Siri and come with features like tap to wake also.

Conclusion:

The Samsung Galaxy Note has been priced at $930/£869/€1,000 for the unlocked version and the South Korean Giant will be keen to get back its trust that the customers have lost due to the predecessor of Note 8. LG’s V20 has seen a good success and will be trying to repeat the same with the upcoming V30. There is nothing much to say about the iPhone 8 as many are eagerly waiting for it. For now, we need to wait few more days to get to a conclusion since we haven’t seen the V30 and iPhone 8 yet. We also need to consider how these devices will be priced.
