You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

WhatsApp has been receiving a lot of updates over the past few months. Over the course of time, we have been seeing how the company has been adding more and more new features to the platform, making it that much better for its users across the globe. A few months back, WhatsApp introduced stories feature which allowed the users to add Snapchat and Instagram like stories on their account for others to see. However, now there is yet another new update which a new feature.

WhatsApp now lets users add colorful text-based status. For those of you wondering, yes, this is very similar to what we have on Facebook. This will essentially allow the users to add text-based status and add more colors to it and make it look more interesting. Users can also use different fonts to showcase things differently and change up the mood. So basically, this is yet another fun new way using which one can share whats ongoing in his/ her life.

Do make a note that, a user can choose whom to share these status updates with. You can play around with these in the privacy settings. It looks something like this: “my contacts,” “contacts except…” and “only share with…” And just like the stories, you can also tell who has viewed your story. But apart from that, there is yet another new feature which will now allow the people to reply to the updates. And to make this more interesting, users can also use a photo, video, or GIF, etc. to share your thoughts as a response.

Most people also use WhatsApp Web, which is yet another great feature of the app. Again, for those you who don’t know, WhatsApp Web is a feature of WhatsApp which will allow users to use the app on a laptop or computer. As far as the availability is concerned, it has been reported that this new feature is all set to be rolled out to the users. It looks like both Android, as well as iOS users, should be getting the update starting today.

With all that being said, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be using this feature once it makes its way here in India? Be sure to let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment down below.
