Coolpad Max with 5.5″ Full HD Display & 4GB RAM to Launch on May 20th

Coolpad had recently updated the popular Note 3 smartphone by launching the Note 3 Plus. It comes with the same design and specifications as Note 3 expect the display resolution which was increased from 720 to 1080p. At the time of launch, the company also announced to launch a new smartphone on May 20th. Now the teaser image tweeted by Coolpad India confirmed it to be the Coolpad Max that was earlier launched in China in November 2015.

The design of the device looks similar to the HTC One A9, but it additionally sports the fingerprint sensor. It features a metal build unibody design and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with company’s CoolUI 8.0 overlaid. The Coolpad Max sports a 2.5D 5.5-inch liquid crystal display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by a curved Gorilla Glass. It is powered by the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor along with 3GB/4GB of RAM.

It will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants and can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. The device also supports dual SIM dual standby with hybrid SIM slot where the MicroSD card can be used instead of the second SIM. In the camera department, it has a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and PDAF fast focus. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera with gesture support for capturing quick selfies.

It is backed by a 2,800mAh battery which is rated to give 17 hours and lasts up to 310 hours on standby. With the provided 9V/2A power adapter, the battery on this device can be charged from 0% to 65% in just 30 minutes. The company also added a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device for improved security. In China, the device was launched in Gold, Gray and Pink colors.
