Micromax Canvas Evok with 3GB RAM & 3000mAh Batttery launched at Rs. 8,499

India’s leading smartphone maker, Micromax has today launched a budget-friendly smartphone in its Canvas series called as Micromax Canvas Evok (E483). The device is the best combination of decent features and design that makes it a quality offering. The Canvas Evok priced at Rs. 8,499 comes in Black color variant and is available for purchase online exclusively via Flipkart.

The dual sim dual standby supported Canvas Evok features a 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with 267ppi as pixel density and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection laid on top. It comes equipped with Snapdragon 415 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with planned upgrade to Android Marshmallow in near future.

On the camera section, the smartphone sports a 13MP autofocus primary camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter for video chats and selfie lovers. Both the camera’s of the device are capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes an externalSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 64GB. Like other Micromax phones, it also features various bloatware apps like Amazon, Amazon Kindle, App Center, Clean Master, Citrus Cube, Hike, M! account, M!live, Swift key, and many more.

The 4G-LTE enabled smartphone includes standard connectivity options like VoLTE, 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. The handset packs a 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 10 hours of talk time and upto 337 hours of standby time. The Canvas Evok will have to face tough competition from the likes of recently launched Coolpad Note 3 Plus that offers full-HD display & fingerprint sensor at slightly higher price.
