Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 with Snapdragon 652 SoC & 3GB RAM Spotted Online
In February this year, two new Samsung tablets Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 are listed on GFXbench revealing the specifications. The Tab S3 series tablets will be the successors for Tab S2 launched in 2015. Now the Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 with the model number SM-T719 is listed on TENAA. As the name suggests, the device comes with an 8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution.
Under the hood, the Tab S3 8.0 comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 128GB with the included MicroSD card slot. The Tablet runs on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI overlaid. It sports SIM card slot and supports 4G LTE.
Talking about the camera, it sports an 8MP rear camera without LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies and video calls. While the last year’s Tab S2 came with a fingerprint sensor, we expect the Tab S3 8.0 to sport the same feature. The Tab S3 8.0 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. It measures 198.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm and weighs 272 grams.
The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the tablet. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. As per the GFXbench listing, the Tab S3 9.6 (SM-T819) also comes with similar specifications but features a 9.6-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. As of now, there is no information about the launch of these tablets from Samsung.
We guess the tablets to be launched first in China and with the TENAA listing, the launch might be happened n the next few weeks. The 2016 Galaxy A series and 2016 Galaxy J series are also first launched in China. Stay tuned for more updates!
