- Wi-Fi and Data Connection Issue
1. Lag in Performance
Problem – This is the most common issue in almost all the Android-devices. But, by taking few precautions and with simple workouts one can easily resolve the issue.
Solution – The first thing to worth try is enabling the developer options. By default, these options were hidden, and so the user has to awake those. For that, open ‘Settings>About Phone’ and tap few times on ‘Build number’ until it makes the options enabled. Once done, you can see the options under ‘Settings>Additional Settings.’ Open the options and scroll down to find the ‘Window animation scale,’ ‘Transition animation scale’ and ‘Animator duration scale.’ Now, turn those options off or reduce them to 0.5x so as to improve the performance.
The next thing worth trying is to remove the cache stored in apps and device. To clear app cache, open each from installed apps and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ option. To remove the cache from the device, you have to perform wipe cache partition. For that, you need to turn off the device and press Volume Up and power button simultaneously at the same time until you see Mi Logo appears on the screen. Now, release the power button and keep holding the volume up button recovery mode menu appears. In here, use volume buttons for scrolling up and down, and power button for confirming the selection. Now, select ‘English’ option and then ‘Wipe Reset’ option using volume and power buttons. Then go for, ‘Wipe Cache’ option to clear the cache from the device. Once the process is done, go for ‘Reboot’ option. That’s all; now your device should be free from the lag issue and if not perform the factory reset of the phone.
Factory reset will wipe away entire data from the device and so take a prior backup before proceeding further. Once the backup is taken, then turn off the phone and enter into recovery mode as explained above. In here, select and confirm ‘Wipe All Data’ and then ‘Yes.’ The same process can also be done by opening ‘Settings>Backup & Reset>Factory Data Reset>Reset Device>Erase Everything>Ok’. That’s all; now the device should be free from the lag issue for sure.
2. Over-heating issue
Problem – Many users reported that sometimes the device is getting heated up while using it. Well, there could be few reasons for that, and we can resolve it easily with few workouts.
Solution – At first, remove the widgets and live wallpapers from the device. These will keep more pressure on the processor resulting in over-heating issue. So, use one or two widgets if required and use static or normal wallpapers to avoid the over-heating issue.
Make sure not to use the device while charging and remove the case when the phone is plugged in for charging. Do not play high-resolution games as they can heat up device very soon. Also, remove the cache from the device as explained in the above solution. If the above processes failed, the follow the procedure in above solution to perform the factory reset. By now, your device should be free from the over-heating issue.
3. Rapid battery draining
Problem – Well, not all the users are facing this issue as battery-draining depend mainly on the usage of the phone. So, with certain precautions and workouts, users can easily resolve the issue in a short time.
Solution – The first thing to remember is, always use the original battery chargers for charging the device as duplicate chargers will discharge the battery sooner. Also, avoid using battery-draining apps and uninstall all the useless apps which are downloaded by you from the play store.
Next thing to do is, turn off the data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connections whenever not in use as they can consume the battery unnecessarily. Then, clear the cache from the apps and device as explained in the solution 1. Even then the issue continues, then perform the factory reset as explained clearly in solution 1. If everything fails, then try to replace the battery with a new one.
4. Bluetooth connection issue
Problem – Few users reported that they aren’t able to pair the devices when the Bluetooth is on. Well, there could be few reasons behind this and with simple workouts, one can resolve the issue.
Solution – First of all, make sure that you are pairing to the desired device and turn on the option ‘make device discoverable.’ If it fails, then restart your phone and try to pair the device again. If that doesn’t work, remove all the old parried devices and then start pairing to the new device from beginning.
5. Wi-Fi and Data Connection Issue
Problem – Most of the users reported that they are facing an issue while connecting to the Wi-Fi and sometimes with the data network. This could be resolved easily with few workouts.
Solution – Whenever you are facing the issue with Wi-Fi, make sure that you are connecting to the desired network and enter the valid password for authentication. Even then the problem exists, turn off your device and turn it on back and reconnect. If that fails, then turn off the Wi-Fi router and on it back after 1 minute, by now the issue should get resolved.
For data connection issue, enable the flight mode and then disable it after sometime. It will solve the issue of data connection and if it fails, then restart the device and connect to the data network.
Note – The manufacturer will release frequent updates for the devices which contain fixes for minor bugs and enhancements to improve the device performance. So, always check for updates under ‘Settings>About Phone>System Updates’ or in ‘Updater’ feature under ‘Tools’ option. If any update is available, then download and install the same.
