Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 with 3.8″ Display & Android 6.0 Marshmallow Spotted Online

Samsung-Galaxy-Folder

Almost a year back, Samsung had launched the clamshell phone called Galaxy Folder in South Korea. Now it’s all set to launch the Galaxy Folder 2 (2016) as the successor for last year’s Galaxy Folder. The new device with the model number SM-G1600 is listed on GFXbench revealing the specifications. We also expect the device to feature the same design as its predecessor. It might come with a polycarbonate shell and metal hinge.

Earlier the company also launched the high-end clamshell phone Samsung W2016 which features dual displays and metal body. Compared to W2016, the Galaxy Folder comes with an affordable price tag and basic specifications. The Galaxy Folder 2 comes with the same 3.8-inch touchscreen display with WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the highly customized TouchWiz UI laid on top.

It is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. It has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash that can record videos at Full HD resolution. On the front, the Galaxy Folder 2 features a 5MP fixed focus camera which can also record Full HD videos.
