Amazon launches Thinner, Lighter & Bluetooth Enabled Kindle 2016 at Rs 5999
Amazon has recently launched the high-end Kindle Oasis which came along with a beefier price tag of $290. But Amazon hasn’t left out the users who are looking for an affordable e-book reader in 2016. The company has introduced the new Kindle 2016 priced at just Rs. 5,999/$80. At such a low price, it comes with few compromises but does offer the basic ebook features. It comes with a 6-inch glare-free non-backlight display with a pixel density of 167ppi.
Alongside with the regular Black color, the new Kindle will also be available in White color. Compared to its predecessor, the Kindle 2016 is 11% slimmer and 16% lighter making it best to handle even with a single hand. It includes 4GB of internal storage for storing books and packs 512MB of RAM which is double than the capacity in the RAM as its predecessor. Much like previous generation Kindle, it also offers four weeks long battery life.
It sports new home screen which features like Goodreads for the best recommendation and easy way to discover stored books. The Export Notes is another new feature that will enable to send the notes and highlights to the users email. The same features will be available to earlier launched Kindles via a software update in the near future. It comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options.
The new Kindle is priced at Rs. 5,999 and will be on sale starting from July 7th. Apart from the Kindle 2016, the Kindle Paperwhite will also be available in all new White color.
