Moto G4 with 5.5″ Display & 3,000 mAh Battery Launched in India
As announced Lenovo has officially launched the two new Moto G devices – Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus today in New Delhi, India. Both the devices looks identical in terms of design except the Moto G4 Plus additionally comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front. It is also the first Moto device to sport a fingerprint sensor. The devices run on vanilla flavored Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with very few tweaks.
The devices come with a polycarbonate body and the textured finish on the rear gives a nice grip to hold on to the 5.5-inch device for longer durations. Unlike the other smartphones, the home button on the G4 Plus comes in a square shape. Both the devices sport a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The devices measures just 7.9mm thickness and comes with rounded corners.
Under the hood, the devices are powered by Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Adreno 405 GPU. The Moto G4 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while the Moto G4 Plus comes with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB onboard storage. Both the devices include MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB. There is also dual SIM card slots supporting 4G LTE with VoLTE.
In the camera department, the Moto G4 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus. There is a 5MP camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens on the front. The Moto G4 Plus comes with an even better rear camera; it includes a 16MP camera with laser autofocus and PDAF while the front camera remains same. Unlike like the Moto G3, both the Moto G4 variants misses the IPX7 certifications but are at least splash proof, thanks to the nano coating.
Both the devices are kept powered on by a 3000mAh battery and also supports Turbo Charging that gives six hours of usage with just 15 mins of charging. The Moto G4 Plus with 2GB RAM is priced at Rs. 13,499 and 3GB RAM variant at Rs. 14,499. These devices will be exclusively sold through Amazon India starting today mid-night.
