Apple iPhone 8 may feature the Wireless Charging Technology
Apple is yet to launch the new iPhone variant for the year 2016, and we already have new rumors pointing towards the next iPhone 8. According to the sources, the new iPhone that is to be launched this year sometime in September, will not be significantly different from the existing version. It is expected to sport only minor changes in terms of specifications, but externally the phone will be identical to the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
Apple seems to be moving to a three-year redesign cycle. Currently, the company refreshes its flagship’s design every two years. Based on this information, we think the company might bring only subtle changes to the new variants launching this year. Also, the company is reportedly working on iPhone 8 already. According to a Chinese analyst Sun Changxu, the upcoming iPhone 8 is going to provide support for a wireless charging feature. This feature was already expected on the upcoming iPhone 7, but it seems we have to wait another year for the same.
It is reported that Apple must have caught LG Innotek’s attention which is a subsidiary of LG. The company is making good progress with wireless charging. It is said that Apple would partner with LG to produce a wireless charging circuit, which could help to charge the phone quickly from zero to a full charge without any wires. Other rumors point that the Home Button, which is found on all the iPhone previously, might be removed.
Also, other stories points that the iPhone 8 will feature a massive 5.8-inch display and the company will incorporate OLED panels, replacing the LCD ones. This means the future iPhones might have a better battery backup as well. It will also feature an A11 SoC, which is rumored to be manufactured on the 7nm process. The phone might see a bump in RAM as well, but we have no rumors to give an exact figure.
However all these are just rumors, and we think it’s too early to discuss iPhone 8 as the upcoming iPhone 7 hasn’t even been launched yet. As mentioned earlier, the new iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to be announced by the company officially by September this year. Stay tuned for more information on this.
