Moto X Play Firmware Update brings VOLTE Support for Jio SIM Cards
Motorola has started to roll out VoLTE support for Reliance Jio SIM on their mid-range handset, the Moto X Play. Launched last year, the users in India should start receiving an update of 19.2 MB on their handsets. Apart from Jio SIM card support, it includes Android security update and some stability improvements.
Earlier, Mar 23, 2016 :From December last year, Motorola has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play users. While the users in Canada are first to receive the update, the Indian users received in the early January this year. Now the company has started to roll out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update
The latest available Android update also comes along with the Android security patch updates for the month of March. The new software update comes in 387.4MB size and has the build number as ‘24.61.52.en.03’ for India and ‘24.61.52.en.CA’ for Canada. This new update brings in the all new emoji pack and stability improvements. If you have an unlocked Canadian Moto X Play and still waiting for the latest Android update. Then open Settings> About Phone > System Update, to check whether you have the received the update or not.
With this update, the power button can be used as shutter button when the camera app is opened. Recently Samsung has rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Galaxy S5 in South Korea. The popular Lenovo K3 Note also received the Marshmallow update in India. Few rumors suggest that the Moto X Style, Moto G (3rd Gen), and other Moto device that are updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
