Vivo X7 & X7 Plus with 4GB RAM & 16MP Selfie Camera Launched in China
Vivo has officially launched its latest smartphones Vivo X7 and the Vivo X7 Plus today in China. These are the first smartphone from Vivo to come with a physical home button on the front. Both these devices are the successor to the popular Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus which were launched last year. The USP of the devices is the 16MP selfie camera on the front which is also accompanied by the MoonLight flash.
Earlier this year, OPPO also launched the OPPO R9 (a.k.a OPPO F1 Plus) & R9 Plus smartphones with a 16MP selfie camera and even rest of the specifications are also similar when compared to Vivo X7 & X7 Plus. The Vivo X7 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) SuperAMOLED display while the Vivo X7 Plus comes with a larger 5.7-inch display with the same resolution.
Under the hood, both the devices are powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that can be further expandable upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. On the back, the Vivo X7 Plus comes with the same 16MP sensor, but the Vivo X7 is only limited to 13MP resolution. Even the OPPO R9 & R9 Plus also came with the same 13MP & 16MP cameras on the back respectively.
The devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the latest FunTouch UI overlaid. Coming to the battery life, the Vivo X7 sports a 3,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging with the included dual chip charging. On the other hand, the Vivo X7 Plus has a 4,000mAh battery with the same fast charging support. The physical home button on the front also come equipped with the fingerprint sensor.
Both the devices support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. A couple of months back Vivo launched the world’s first smartphone Vivo X Play 5 with a whopping 6GB of RAM. While the Vivo V3 & V3 Max that are launched in India are also sold in China, the Vivo X6 series or the latest X Play 5 are not yet launched out of China.
