WileyFox Launches Cyanogen OS Powered Spark, Spark+, Spark X Smartphones

WileyFox is the UK-based smartphone brand which had debuted the smartphone market in August last year. The WileyFox Swift and Storm are the two smartphones that launched at that time. Now in 2016, the company has launched three new smartphones named WileyFox Spark, Spark+, and Spark X smartphones. Just like last years smartphones, all the three new smartphones run on Cyanogen OS. It follows the same strategy as Xiaomi and OnePlus by offering competitive specifications at lower price.

All the three device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the CyanogenOS 13 out of the box. The Wileyfox Spark and Spark+ comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, while the Spark X sports a larger 5.5-inch display with the same HD resolution. Under the hood, all the devices are powered by MediaTek MT6735A quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 GPU. The devices also support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.

The Wileyfox Spark packs just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage while the Spark+ and Spark X includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. With the provided MicroSD card slot, the storage can be expanded upto 32GB. While the Wileyfox Spark+ and Spark X sports a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, the Spark packs only an 8MP autofocus camera. On the front, all the devices have an 8MP fixed focus camera for selfies. Coming to the battery capacity, the Spark X sports a larger 3,000mAh battery while the other two devices settle for 2,200mAh batteries.
