ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe with Snapdragon 823 SoC to Launch in India in August
Earlier this week, ASUS unveiled the Zenfone 3 lineup of smartphones at the Computex 2016 in Taiwan. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the premium device with flagship specifications. It comes with an all-metal body and is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. Now the latest rumor suggests that a new variant of Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be launched with the yet to be announced Snapdragon 823 chipset. The Snapdragon 823 SoC is an enhanced version of Snapdragon 820 that can be clocked at a maximum of 3.0GHz.
As this new chipset also supports upto 8GB of RAM, we guess the company to include 8GB RAM. Last year’s Zenfone 2 is the world’s first smartphone to come with 4GB RAM. The Snapdragon 820 powered Zenfone 3 Deluxe came with 6GB of RAM. It is said to be launched in August and will be available only in key Asian markets including India. While there are few rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be the first smartphone to come with this new processor but somehow Zenfone 3 Deluxe might be launched first.
Apart from the upgraded processor, rest of the specifications remains same. It comes with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device has a 23MP rear camera with PDAF and laser autofocus. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. All the three Zenfone 3 devices run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with customized ZenUI 3.0. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe includes USB 3.0 Type-C port for faster data transfer speeds.
