Huawei Mate 10 Smartphone Is Rumored To Launch On October 16 With A Hefty Price Tag
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is expected to launch the new Mate 10 smartphone very soon in the market. So far, there are tons of rumors and speculations surrounding it and the most recent one claims that it will be launching very soon. Yes, it has now been reported that the upcoming flagship smartphone from Huawei will enter the market on October 16, which means that we are still a couple of months away from the launch.
According to the source, the Huawei Mate 10 will be launched in the month of October, in fact, October 16th to be specific. It looks like the launch event will happen in Munich, Germany. Apparently, the Mate 10 won’t be alone. It looks like a smaller variant will also join the Mate 10, called Mate 10 Lite. Now, whats more surprising is the pricing of the Mate 10 which the source has mentioned. It looks like the new Mate 10 smartphone will come with a hefty price tag of PLN4,000 which roughly translates to over $1000.
The source also talks about the pricing of the Mate 10 Lite and it looks like its price will be cut down by half. If these claims are true, then the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will cost somewhere around $500 in the U.S. But if Huawei’s previous track record is considered, the company is not really known for launching such expensive devices in the market. Hence we hope that they will settle for something reasonable. However, do make a note that the company’s CEO said that they will focus only on flagship devices from now and hence we suggest you wait till the official announcement.
Talking about the expected specs, the Mate 10 will sport all the high-end hardware. It looks like Huawei will go for an edge-to-edge curved display with this one, which will be the first of its kind for Huawei. The size of this display is expected to be of 6-inches and it looks like it will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. Internally, you can expect it to be powered by the new Kirin 970 SoC which will also have the new AI chip. Having said that, the only thing which remains to be seen is the pricing and we hope Huawei will price it quite aggressively to compete with the likes of iPhone 8, Galaxy Note 8, etc. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this by leaving a comment down below.
