Micromax Canvas Infinity with 18:9 Display & 16MP Selfie Camera Launched for Rs. 9,999

Micromax has launched its latest smartphone called Canvas Infinity today in India. This is also the first smartphone to launch under the new Infinity series. As teased earlier, this is the most affordable smartphone with 18:9 display in India. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and is online exclusive to Amazon India. Micromax also confirmed the smartphone to be available via offline stores in the coming weeks. Recently, LG also launched the LG Q6 smartphone with 18:9 display for Rs. 14,990 in India. Apart from the 18:9 display, the Canvas Infinity also packs competitive hardware.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity sports a metal body along with two shiny Antenna bands on the top and bottom rear. It comes with a 5.7-inch HD (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. With the large display, the body of the Canvas Infinity measures almost same as the iPhone 7 Plus. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It comes with dual SIM slots with dual standby support.
It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and the company also confirmed to release the Android 8.0 Oreo update. In the camera department, the Micromax Canvas Infinity sports a 13MP sensor on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, and LED flash. For selfies, there is a 16MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, screen flash, and 81.5-degree wide-angle lens. It is a backed by a 2,900mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give up to 20 hours of talk time and lasts up to 420 hours on standby.
The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Canvas Infinity will be available only in Black color. On the right edge of the device, we can spot the volume rocker and power button
