OnePlus Teases New Color Variant For OnePlus 5, Might Come in Limited Edition Mint Gold Color
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
A couple of months back OnePlus has globally launched the 2017 flagship smartphone dubbed OnePlus 5. It is also the costliest smartphone ever launched by the brand. It comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants priced at Rs. 32,999 and Rs. 37,999 respectively. While the 6GB RAM variant comes in Slate Gray color, the high-end 8GB RAM variant is only available in Midnight Black color. Today, OnePlus China has posted a teaser image of OnePlus 5 saying “Who is coming?” on Weibo. While there is no official confirmation, the company might bring a new color variant of the OnePlus 5.
Back in June, there are few leaks about a new limited edition variant of the OnePlus 5 in Mint Gold color option. Even the last year’s OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T were launched in Soft Gold color. As of now, there is no information about the changes in specifications. While the Midnight Black variant comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, the rumored Mint Gold variant might pack 8GB RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. Since these are wild guesses, take them with a pinch of salt. Even its parent company OPPO also teased the launch of OPPO R11 FC Barcelona Edition.
The OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display offering Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with the Adreno 540 GPU. The dual camera setup on the rear houses a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP Sony IMX350 sensor with f/2.6 aperture. As seen on the iPhone 7 Plus, the OnePlus 5 also offers 2X lossless zoom. The recent Oxygen OS 4.5.7 update also added EIS for the 4K video recording. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and EIS.
It is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with in-house DashCharge fast charging technology. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and should get the Android 8.0 update after its public release. OnePlus is also offering 12 months damage protection plan for Rs. 2,099. It covers the accidental damages like drops, spills, and cracks. While the device comes with one year of manufacturer warranty, the user can also opt for the extended warranty plans starting from Rs. 1,699. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
