Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro Is Said To Be More Expensive Than Last Year’s Gear Fit

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

A couple of days back, we had reported about a new wearable that Samsung is working on called the Gear Fit 2 Pro. Last time, we did have some images to show around, which gave us a look at what the device could potentially look like. But what we didn’t know was the pricing, however, this time around, we have a new report which claims that the Gear Fit 2 Pro will indeed cost more than the last year’s Gear Fit 2.

According to a leaked screenshot which surfaced on the internet, it looks like the Gear Fit 2 Pro will cost $199.99. For those of you who don’t know, this is $20 over the launch price of the Gear Fit 2, which was launched back in 2016. The Gear Fit 2 was launched at a price of $179.99 and it was available across major US stores, which is also expected to be the case with the new Gear Fit 2 Pro.

Now for those of you wondering what are new features for which the company is charging more, then be advised that the Gear Fit 2 Pro comes with a new refreshed design, an improved wrist band, and enhanced water resistance. In terms of the design, the new Gear Fit 2 Pro comes with a display which has comparatively fewer bezels. the wristband is also improved and this time, it looks like it will have a typical wrist band like a clasp, which is expected to give a better fit.

Talking about the water resistance, as we had reported earlier, the new Gear Fit 2 Pro will have enhanced water resistance so that you can use it for underwater swimming, diving, etc. without having to worry about ruining your watch. And if you missed our previous coverage, then you probably don’t know that it has support for offline Spotify playback as well.

In terms of the compatibility, we expect the device to work with both Android as well as iOS and again, this will also be offered in multiple size variants, meaning that users will have an option to opt-in for a larger band. But other than that, we don’t have a lot of info about the device just yet and we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
