Swipe Launches Konnect Power with 2GB RAM & 3000mAh Battery for Rs. 4,999

The affordable smartphone maker Swipe has launched a new smartphone called Konnect Power. The device is priced at Rs. 4,999 and will be available exclusively through Snapdeal starting from August 7th. Just like any other low-cost smartphone, the Konnect Power also comes with a polycarbonate shell and thick bezels all around the display. It runs on a couple of years old Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity.
Commenting on the launch, Shripal Gandhi, founder and CEO of Swipe Technologies said,
“Fulfilling aspirations of demanding Indians at affordable price is what differentiates Swipe from other smartphone players. Our latest creation is yet another affordable device under the Konnect series – Konnect Power. It is designed for the aspiring youth of the country who requires long lasting battery that too with 2GB RAM yet the phone is light on pocket.”
The device sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It packs 2GB of RAM which should be good enough basic usage of an Android smartphone. Not many smartphones under Rs. 5,000 offers an HD display or 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB of onboard storage that can be additionally expanded up to 32GB via a MicroSD card slot. In terms of optics, there is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.
As the name suggests, the USP of the Konnect Power is the 3,000mAh battery. According to the company, the device will deliver up to 24 hours of normal usage and 3 hours of video streaming on 4G LTE connection. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons. The power button and volume rocker can be found on the left edge of the device.
